This page answers one question: where the support goes. Not with promises, but with numbers you can check.
2026
This year three trips to Poland are planned for intensive rehabilitation courses. Two have already taken place, and the third begins in early October and lasts two weeks.
Courses like this are not available in Lithuania. The state health insurance fund covers part of the rehabilitation by referral. The remaining part, the travel and the accommodation are paid by the foundation. Getting there and living in another country are not compensated at all, so without the foundation even the compensation would go unused: there would be no way to make the journey.
At home we work with a physiotherapist three times a week. A massage course is under way at the moment. As before, Arnoldas attends sessions at Vaiko raidos klinika, Neurocta and the swimming pool.
In September Arnoldas started attending a pre-school group and is still settling in. He has a speech therapist and a personal assistant there.
Months are never the same. Arnoldas falls ill, sessions get cancelled, courses do not happen every month. The amounts vary, and one month tells you nothing about a year.
The 2026 report will be filed with the registry in the spring of 2027. The figures below cover the years whose reports are already published.
What has changed in three years
Arnoldas has started to hold his head up. The spasticity has decreased, his body has become stronger and steadier, his movements more deliberate.
He has begun to control his hands. He reaches for a tablet, for a toy. Before, this was beyond him. The movements are still uncoordinated, but the direction is clear.
He does thirty squats.
He understands more. He knows colours, animals and numbers. He has started watching cartoons, which did not interest him at all before.
And the most important thing. Arnoldas has learned to choose cards and to show “yes” and “no” on his hands. It means he can say what he wants. A boy who does not speak has begun to communicate.
There is still a great deal of work ahead. We are not stopping.
What it costs
The foundation has been running since April 2023. These are all of its expenses:
| Year | Expenses | Of which bank charges | To Arnoldas |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2023 | €5,076 | €13.46 | 99.73 % |
| 2024 | €13,398 | €60.65 | 99.55 % |
| 2025 | €17,110 | €90.52 | 99.47 % |
| Total | €35,584 | €164.63 | 99.54 % |
Over three years the foundation spent €35,584. Everything except €164.63 in bank charges went to Arnoldas.
The foundation has no employees, pays no salaries and rents no premises. Bank charges are its only administrative cost.
In detail
2025. Sessions (physiotherapy, physiotherapy in the pool, occupational therapy, massage, speech therapy) €10,433. Two trips to Poland €4,271. Equipment (leg orthoses, elbow brace, walking bench, inhaler, infrared lamp) €2,316. Bank €91.
2024. Sessions €12,710. Equipment (wheelchair, car seat, orthopaedic gloves, massage gun, trapeze bar) €627. Bank €61.
2023. Sessions €4,940. Neurologist consultation and exercise mat €123. Bank €13.
You can see how it changed: at first only sessions, later equipment, and from 2025 the trips to Poland.
Where the foundation’s money comes from
The foundation rests on three sources: the 1.2 % of income tax, donations from people and support from private businesses.
At the start, to be honest, I did not expect that we would be supported like this.
The largest part is the 1.2 %, directed to Arnoldas by hundreds of people. Over three years every fifth euro came from those who transferred their own money.
Thank you, all of you. Without you none of what is written on this page would exist.
Who else contributes
Not all of the support for Arnoldas goes through the foundation.
Išsipildymo akcija, a national charity campaign, gave €7,500 in 2025 and paid for Arnoldas’s sessions at Neurocta, Vaiko raidos klinika and Bambino SPA. Those invoices were settled directly, so the amounts do not appear in the foundation’s accounts.
Rimanto Kaukėno paramos grupė, the foundation of basketball player Rimantas Kaukėnas, covers Arnoldas’s sessions at Vaiko raidos klinika. In 2026 that is €2,500.
The state health insurance fund covers part of rehabilitation abroad, by referral.
The state covers part of the technical aids. The wheelchair was obtained this way.
Part of the sessions is covered by the family from its own means.
How to check
The foundation’s annual reports are published here. The figures in the table above match them.
The same documents are held in the Register of Legal Entities: registrucentras.lt/jar/p/, entity code 306291626. The documents themselves are in Lithuanian.
How you can help
Almost everything on this page was paid for from the 1.2 % of income tax and from people’s donations. The 1.2 % is the foundation’s main source of funding, but on its own it would not be enough. That share of tax is open only to people who pay income tax in Lithuania.
If you are reading this from abroad, a bank transfer is the way to help. The details are on the How to help page.
