Arnoldas gali
Arnoldas is six. He has cerebral palsy and epilepsy. He cannot walk, sit or speak – but he understands everything. This year he learned to show “yes” and “no” and to choose cards: a boy who does not speak has begun to communicate. That is the result of daily rehabilitation work, and that work depends on your support.
What has changed since 2023
The foundation has been running since April 2023. Since then Arnoldas’s rehabilitation has not stopped, and this is what has changed. These are not promises, but things that have already happened.
- He has started to hold his head up. The spasticity has decreased, his body has become stronger and steadier.
- He has begun to control his hands: he reaches for a tablet, for a toy. Before, this was beyond him.
- He does thirty squats.
- He understands more: he knows colours, animals and numbers.
- He has learned to choose cards and to show “yes” and “no” on his hands. It means he can say what he wants.
Nobody knows whether Arnoldas will ever walk, and we do not promise it. But each of these things means more independence and an easier everyday life – for him and for us. That is why we keep going. What we do and what it costs, down to the euro, is set out on the What we do page.
